Snow Day

To begin with I love the snow. We haven't had a good snow in about 2 years so I was very excited when it started last night.

5:30 am

This morning when hubby woke up to see if he had to go to work he woke me up to tell me there were a couple inches so I got up, got dressed, and took the dogs out for their first time in the snow ever. Then crawled back under the covers for another hour and a half of sleep.

7:00

The kids were up and ready to go out.

7:30

All three were bundled up and heading for the dor. Our neighbors were already out building a snowman. So with kids, dogs, and camera in tow we went to play. I am sure we woke up half the neighborhood with our snowball fight. And this was all before breakfast.

8:00

Cold, wet, and hungry we headed back to the house for oatmeal and hot chocolate to warm us up.

The rest of the morning was spent hanging around the house with a couple of cups of coffee and reading. Did I mention I love snow days?

11:30

We headed up to The restaurant because my mother was opened and I knew she wouldn't have any business plus it was time to get out of the house. The restaurant has been closed for two weeks so we can all rest, well except me I do end off year accounting during the two weeks we are closed. So anyway it was nice to be able to order my favorite sandwich (Greek Pita with no tomatoes, no cucumbers, add chicken).

12:30

Grabbed the sleds and headed for the kids school. It has the best sled hills. I have been sledding there all my life. Went down with Anabelle first, of course lost control of the sled the first time down, saved my baby from getting hurt but busted my hand up pretty good. Well of course I couldn't just take one down so I had to suck it up and take the rest of the kids for a ride, bleeding and all. The rest went a little better. We went to a smaller hill for the kids to go down on there own. Hubby went a couple times too, he couldn't control the sled at all so I didn't feel so bad. Left wet, cold, and tired. Came home watched TV and did nothing till 4 when I got the house picked up and started dinner. Now I am sitting down for a little more R&R. Picture of sledding to be posted when I get them off the camera.

Well that was our snow day adventure. I need to approach life as a child a little more often.

101 in 1001 days!

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

I have a couple more things to add but I will try to finish and start on these items.

FlyLady Please Help!

OK FlyLady I am tired of a messy house, I am tired of being so disorganized, I am tired of clutter! It is a new year for new starts and I am ready to start. I think that I do this every year. I start with daily planner and a new attitude. I get out my organizational books and I say ok, it will be different this year. I will get everything done that I say I am going to get done. I make lists (I love lists), notebooks (I love notebooks), chore charts, and so on. Some where in the chaos my planner gets buried, I get bored, and I spend the rest year wishing I had continued what I said I was going to do. This year will be diffferent! I will succeed. If not completly at least for the most part. I am going to use this blog as my insperation even if no one is reading, which I hope won't be true because I could really use some motivation!

Me....

Starting a blog is one thing that I have not done on the internet so I thought it was about time.
My blog name came from Ingrid Michaelson's song "The Way I Am" because I happened to listening to it when I was trying to come up with a name. It fit me, you get me the way I am, disorganized, passionate, crazy, stubborn, sometime irrational, moody, etc.

I have all sorts of hobbies including anything that has to do with a computer, scrapbooking, photography, reading, researching anything, wii (yes I know it shouldn't be concidered a hobby), wine tasting, web design, to name a few.

I have three monkey's who I couldn't live without. Ally is 8, soon to be nine. An old soul as many people say. She is the most caring child I know. Always looking out for others. She also has quite an imagitation which sometimes gets her in trouble. She likes to tell stories. Lots and lots of stories. She is also the comedian in the family. She finds herself very amusing and most the time we do to.

Anabelle who is six was born the middle child. She carries more of my charteristics then the other too. The who hard headed thing for sure! She is very inellegent. When she is older she will be the most confident and self independent. In other words I don't have to worry about her then, but now those things can make it very difficult for her mother. LOL

Riley is the baby and only boy. That is all I have to say. He is the sweetest of the three always ready with a hug. Although he has 2 sisters he is all boy except for the occational dress up shoes or skirt. He is in to everything and clothes don't last a month for him.

My husband is my fourth child. LOL! We have been friends since our freshman year in highschool.

That is about it for now.
