I wait tables at my families restaurant a couple days a week. Make decent tips for the most part. This is defiantly the most unusual. This came from a group of ladies who looked to be successful middle age women.
So the check was $29 and the tip ended up being $5.50. So it comes out to be a 19% tip. Was the change still an insult? Be truthful!

Wow. I waited tables for years and never had that happen. Since it came out to be a good tip I'd say no. My guess is there was some silly, amongst girlfriends story behind it.
not an insult ... money is money and it was a good tip in the end.
